Support Is KEY To Your Fitness Success – Kelly Groff

I have heard many people s tart their fitness journey and then stop, they lose weight and then they gain it right back. I used to be one of these people. I became like a yo-yo. I would start my journey and do everything right and then I would start to veer off the path and had such a hard time getting back on.
I have been reflecting on my fitness journey lately, and what happened this time? What helped make it stick? Why did this time it become my lifestyle and not just a hobby I would participate in time and time again? I truly believe it’s the support of my family and friends. I am not a morning person, but I started my fitness lifestyle working out at 6am, it was the only time that worked for me.
I had friends who worked out with me at 6am and they became my support to keep going, I could chat with them in and out of the gym and it became so easy to lean on them for support and push me to do my best. But what really took me to the next level was my husband. Once he jumped on the fitness wagon as well it made it easier at home. It now became our lifestyle and we have each other to support and help along the way. It has been so neat to see so many of our athletes at JSF become like a community and a family.
I see so many family members working out together, so many friends help pushing each other along the way and to me that is what makes them successful. Every now and then we all need a little cheerleader to help us along the way, it helps to keep us motivated and keep going. The support of family and friends has become so important in my life on so many levels. I would not be where I am today or have been able to overcome some obstacles in life it wasn’t for all of my family and friends.
To my JSF family thank you for pushing me every day at the gym, and for those of you who are new to our community I hope you feel the same support and know that you are not in this alone.
