Have a Cheat Meal….Jeremy Scott Fitness

Real quick I wanted to touch on a question I got from an old buddy of mine Steve B! He sent me a message and asked me to touch on having a cheat meal or cheat day based on my thoughts.

Honestly, I don’t subscribe to having an entire cheat day….just my philosophy…..I don’t see the point in trashing an entire day of eating. I do believe in having at least one meal each week of whatever you want……if you have been eating clean the rest of the week.

Now listen up all you guys who start saying “Well Jeremy said I could have this cheat meal today” this is only if the rest of the week you didn’t hit the drive through, grab a donut at work, or hit up happy hour……otherwise you already cheated and your meal is gone! With fitness and anything in life….what you put into it, is what you get out of it. Now do I have a cheat meal every week…..NO……some weeks I don’t! I eat perfect everyday and every meal….is it hard….shit yeah it’s hard, but that’s what makes it so special….. to have the will power to do anything you want to do.

On the flip side, some weeks I cheat more than 1 meal….sometimes 2 or 3 meals maybe, but they are planned cheat meals. I don’t cheat because I am lazy, or the urge is just too great. If you are reading this and saying “man this guy is crazy only eating 1 bad meal a week, I can’t do that” try living the 90/10 Rule……..which is simply eating clean 90% of the time so every 10 meals you eat 1 of those is a shit meal….if you can do that you will be living alright.

It’s a lifestyle….not a diet…be honest with yourself in how much effort you are giving, it’s hard to make sacrifices but what’s the alternative being stuck in a huge, fat, uncomfortable body your entire life? I will take my lifestyle over the average American’s any day….Kick ass you guys!!!

PS: My great friend C.Stoltz sent me this in a text the other night and I thought it might help you guys stay motivated….it sure helped me out…..Enjoy! “To succeed you need to find something to hold onto, something to motivate you, something to inspire you” –Tony Dorsett
