Athlete Spotlight Troy Lyscio – Jeremy Scott Fitness

What brought you to Jeremy Scott Fitness and how long have you been a member?

Frustration, curiosity, and realization. I am in my 50s–thought I was in okay shape physically, but I wanted to achieve much better results than what I was obtaining sporadically working out on my own amidst my 60-70 hour work week. A dear friend of mind was emailing me some of the quotes/statements associated with JSF (i.e. 86,400, Not Here to be Average…, etc.). These statements resonated and made sense to me. I was curious and visited the JSF website reading everything on it–it all made sense to me and I realized the content on the website was real and true. The challenging efficient 30-minute training sessions and the 5:00am start time fit my schedule nicely. I have been a member of JSF for 15 months.


How did you feel at the beginning when you joined?

Apprehensive, but excited. I really wasn’t sure what to expect regarding the workouts, my ability to successfully improve, and the personalities of the other members. I remember my first morning workout–everyone was welcoming and encouraging. As far as the workouts, they were efficient and challenging–30 minutes of melt your face off hustle–I loved it!


How do you feel now?

I really feel great and probably in the best physical condition since high school. I love the total body workout–legs, arms/upper body, core, and cardio. All accomplished with exercises that are appropriate for all experience levels.


What have you accomplished since working with Jeremy Scott Fitness?

Far and away the most important thing I have learned at JSF was how to eat healthy. Learning what to eat, what not to eat, and learning to calculate macros. So far through the combination of eating well and the workouts I have reduced my waist sized from 34 to 32, lost about 6 pounds of fat, and gained about 2 pounds of muscle.


In one word how would you describe Jeremy Scott Fitness?



What advice do you have for others?

Just do it. You CAN do it….training and eating well. And the best thing about JSF is that it is real–no BS, no wasted time, no wasted information.
