Athlete Spotlight Jenn Whittington – Jeremy Scott Fitness

What brought you to Jeremy Scott Fitness and how long have you been a member?

I came to JSF in February of 2017. I had always been a very active person but had injured myself a couple years prior and had almost completely stopped working out. I was struggling to find my motivation and my husband had won a 30 day trial membership to JSF and used that to get me back into the gym. I started working with Jeremy individually on strengthening my shoulder and knee.


How did you feel at the beginning when you joined?

Honestly, I was a little depressed. I was grateful I could come in and work out but I was so frustrated with how much strength I had lost from not maintaining regular exercise during my recovery from injury.


How do you feel now?

Once I was able to get myself into JSF at least 4 x’s week I really felt the biggest difference. I started noticing strength and stability in the injured areas and weaker parts of my body. I also started noticing tone returning to my muscles.


What have you accomplished since working with Jeremy Scott Fitness?

I have increased my overall strength and stamina. I have never been a person to struggle with weight but I have struggled with the ability to build muscle. One of the most important components to the JSF process has also been fueling my body with the right food. I have done a couple rounds of Jeremy’s 47 Day Transformation and my take away is that to really change your body you have to change your food. I am so much stronger than I have been in years, my mobility has increased and my inflammation has gone down drastically. I am so grateful to be moving again!


In one word how would you describe Jeremy Scott Fitness?

One word is hard but I would say motivating above all.


What advice do you have for others?

Don’t stop. Don’t give into injury or disruptions in life. Exercise is a critical component of your health. Not only do you strengthen your body working out but achieving goals and overcoming setbacks are critical to strengthening our minds and discovering what we are made of.


What’s your favorite quote?

I have two favorite quotes: “Stay Goal’d” and “Don’t strive to make your presence noticed, just make your absence felt”.
