She amazes me week after week and pushes me to get better day after day so without further delay……

May Athlete Spotlight – Tammy Ketcherside – Jeremy Scott Fitness Athlete

Motivation that is exactly what Jeremy Scott Fitness gives me on a daily basis…. Pure Motivation. 

While I have always been somewhat athletic, I was lacking one of the most important key components in creating a better physique. About 2 ½ years ago, I started running up the Echo Canyon side of Camelback Mountain anywhere from 2-4 times a week and lifting weights at the gym about 3 times a week, with limited results.

After about a year of doing this, I felt like I hit a wall.  No matter what I thought I was doing ‘right’ wasn’t working for me anymore.  Then, for whatever reason, I had a new follower on Twitter. It was @JSFBootCamps… I don’t know why or how this happened, but I started reading Jeremy’s blogs, really taking stock in the articles and information that he would post.

Those blogs started building the motivation that I had lost over the previous year.  Those blogs helped me decide that what I really needed was to ask a professional about how to overcome some of the obstacles that I couldn’t get over on my own.

Jeremy is a very down-to-earth kind of guy who won’t feed you a line of garbage. He has taught me how clean eating habits impact your performance, how you feel physically and mentally, and the impact on your overall body fat.  That interval training and sprinting provide better results then running on a treadmill or doing crunches; that proper form and consistency are fundamentally necessary to improve results. About 3 months after joining JSF, I broke my arm, gained about 15 pounds and lost all muscle tone and strength in my left arm.  I had completely stepped backwards from where I had started.  It has taken me over a year to get to where I am today.  I have built muscles and toned areas I thought were a lost cause.

He has helped me set goals, hold myself accountable, realize that rest days are just as important, and that it’s okay if you screw it up… it’s how you recover and move forward.  I am also a single mom with 2 beautiful children, both of which learned how to make healthy choices in their own diets as a result of the changes I’ve made to my own eating habits.  Without Jeremy Scott and Jeremy Scott Fitness, I would never have been able to achieve any of my fitness goals.

The only thing I regret about going to Jeremy Scott Fitness is that I waited 5 months to get my ass over there to do something about it!  I hope that my motivation (some may call it obsession at this point) and my results will inspire and motivate others to get up off of the couch and make things happen.  Stop waiting until tomorrow because you’ll wake up one day and wish you had done it when you had the opportunity.
